Shaping global strategy through expert dialogue
Background
The WHO Special Initiative on Health and Migration warmly welcomes the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) on Health, Migration, and Displacement, with a hybrid inaugural launch event on 25 November 2025.
Newly established to provide strategic, evidence-informed guidance, the TAG contributes to advancing WHO’s mission to reduce health inequities and address the social, economic and environmental determinants of health for people on the move. Comprising 16 multidisciplinary experts appointed through an open, merit-based global selection process, members provide strategic guidance advise to WHO on research, policy and public health strategies to improve outcomes for migrants, refugees and other displaced populations.
Formally introducing the TAG, the launch will set out its mandate and vision and convene WHO leadership and partners to align priorities, catalyze collaboration, and map next steps for impactful action on health and migration.
